What height of baluster do I need?
Using our 4 1/2″ Top and Bottom Rails with a 2″ to 4″ toe space, the following rail heights will result:
20″ Baluster: 28″ – 30″
24″ Baluster: 32″ – 34″
28″ Baluster: 36″ – 38″ (commonly used to meet residential guardrail codes)
32″ Baluster: 38″ – 40″ (commonly used on residential stair rails)
36″ Baluster: 42″ – 44″ (commonly used to meet commercial guardrail codes)
Outdoor Porch Balusters are reinforced with an internal PVC pipe for strength and rigidity. Cut using normal woodworking techniques.
