I am so sorry that it has taken so long to respond to your below request for feedback from my interior railing project.  When you review the attached photos please overlook the Halloween decorations. The project went extremely well due, in no small part, to the professional service and excellent quality of the American Porch materials.  Although I had to make some design changes due to the fact that the railing system was an interior installation,  the entire system was installed in less than three hours excluding the staining of the Top Rail and Newel Post Cap and a finish coat of paint on the remainder of the wood. Needless to say, I have been extremely pleased with the final product and have received a number of favorable comments from those who have seen it.  As a result, I would not hesitate to recommend American Porch to anyone interested in a similar project or other project requiring your materials and expertise. I hope you and your team are well and enjoy a fun Halloween weekend.

Thank you for reaching out.  Yes, we finished the project and are very happy with the results.   The only issue we had was with the unloading of the materials.

I’m not sure if you sell a plate or something that can serve as a cap, but as you can see in the photos the tops are not completely covered and we had to cut pieces to seal off the open tops.   Had I to do it again, I may have gone with thin sheet of aluminum or flashing that was cut to fit over the whole install rather than cutting two rectangles to cover each side.

Attached are a couple quick photos the installation.   The photos were not taken with the mindset of showing off the columns themselves.   If you would like,  I can try to get more that might show the columns a little more.

I highly recommend American Porch for railing project.  My house was built in 1915 and I wanted to match the railing I have on the existing porches while building a second level deck for a nice view of the Lafayette River. 

 American Porch was helpful in planning and executing my project.  There was a small problem with my large order missing one piece and they sent replacement piece immediately.  The quality of the products and level of service was second to none.

My husband and I gave the porch railing system to our daughter and husband for Christmas last year. It finally warmed up enough and stopped raining in May to let us put this together. I will tell you I’m a 72 year old do it yourself woman and free labor. I researched putting the system together-the hardest part was scribing for the round pillars!  It took us about 3 days. Any flaws and gaps were fixed with caulk and fillers. The painters just left and the railing is beautiful!!! I love the American Porch product. It was easy to order all I needed . It far outweighs what you get from local big box stores. Having beautiful styles and sizes to choose from was wonderful. This is probably the last of my Big Projects and I am very proud of this job. Every time I walk up this porch I Smile! Thank you American Porch!

The customer service was very good. We have strict historical standards in our city. American Porch offers a baluster that was pretty close in style to the historical ones we needed to replace, and we were able get approval to use them through the city historical review. American Porch helped us calculate what we needed for our project. The product arrived in good condition and is very nice quality. We got the primed version of the balusters and rails, but they still required 2-3 coats of good paint to get good coverage. I would recommend American Porch for your historical porch products.
