Composite Balusters are reinforced with an internal PVC pipe for strength and rigidity. Cut our Composite Balusters using normal woodworking techniques.
What height of composite baluster do I need?
Using our 3 5/8″ or 4 1/2″ Top and Bottom Rails with a 2″ to 4″ toe space, the following rail heights will result:
20″ Baluster: 28″ – 30″ (commonly used for decorative railing)
24″ Baluster: 32″ – 34″
25″ Baluster: 33″ – 35″
28″ Baluster: 36″ – 38″ (commonly used to meet residential codes)
32″ Baluster: 40″ – 42″ (commonly used to meet commercial codes)
36″ Baluster: 44″ – 46″
*If using this baluster with the 5 1/2″ Rail, add 2″ of height to the above measurements.
