How to buy Porch Railing & Spindles

Getting your new or replacement porch railing is easier than you think.  If you’re looking at new railings, start by looking at our Shop By Size categories.  For example, click our best-selling 6″ Wood Balustrade.  Or if you prefer a synthetic alternative to wood, click on 5 1/2″ Poly Balustrade, which is our best-selling low-maintenance composite porch railing solution.

If you’d like us to custom reproduce your existing balusters, just send us an email to info@americanporch.com with a picture, dimensions, and quantity.  Next we’ll send a quote for your baluster & railing restoration.  If you like the quote, we’ll have you send us an original for exact replicas to be produced (or we can go off a picture or drawing if “close” is good enough).

Many people are intimidated by the thought of shipping large balusters and railing.  Don’t be.  We’ve got it handled.  Our team includes professionals that are experts in shipping large porch products in a safe and efficient manner.  Add products to your shopping cart and the shipping cost will be displayed.

In my rebuild of the top of this porch, American Porch railing was a kit with all pieces and hardware, extra screws too. I built the boxes and a contractor reroofed and then install all the railing pieces. I saved money doing some tasks myself, including specifying the AP railing.

About one year ago, we decided to replace the finials on our wooden deck fence that had deteriorated beyond restoration, due to the harsh New England winters. I found this company via an online search, and quickly found what we needed on their website. The finials were shipped promptly and packaged extremely securely. The owner was very responsive when I discovered I needed an extra finial and included the correct number in our order. I am pleased to say that the finials have held up very well during this first year, and seem to be made from very high quality cedar, ensuring they will likely outlast us! The price was very reasonable. We cannot be happier with our purchase and recommend this wonderful firm unconditionally.

I am a carpenter with over 50 years in the trade doing very high end finishes. One of our clients is a very exclusive retirement community with a Williamsburg flair. When we were asked to rebuild their gazebo, my first thought was, where am I going to find the railing parts. I checked with all my suppliers and had no luck sourcing the materials. I also went to our custom shop that we work with and they could not get the right materials. So, I went on line and found American Porch Railings. I could have not been more pleased. The website was very easy to navigate and when I called in to asked questions, they were extremely helpful. When you're placing an order that is over $10,000 online it can make you a little nervous. Bottom line... customer service beyond my expectations and most importantly, the parts I ordered were the very highest quality. We were not painting the beautiful clear cedar parts so noting could be hidden. I can't say enough good things. The materials they sent were flawless. I'm an old timer carpenter without many computer skills to post pictures, butI hope this helps someone who may be spectacle about ordering.
