Decorative Porch Posts are the taller support posts that holds up a roof extension over a porch. If you’re looking for Newel Posts, which are shorter and hold only the railing, click Wood Newel Posts or Synthetic Newel Posts. A polyurethane porch support post is a synthetic alternative to the traditional lathe-turned wood post. They look and feel much like wood, with crisp, clean lines and a warm feel. It’s a better option than vinyl porch posts which look and feel like plastic (because they are). Our porch posts are reinforced with an internal 2 7/8″ dia. steel pipe that provides a 12,000 lb load bearing strength when structural porch posts are needed. They are factory primed and ready for installation and paint. Very low maintenance.
Can be cut to length on site. The easiest method is with a mitering chop saw which is a metal cutting saw with a carbide blade. You can also cut them with a sawzall or other reciprocating saw.
Installation hardware is included with each Porch Post. Two trim collars and installation hardware are included with every porch post.
