Wood ball finials made of solid Western Cedar. Works well with our 6″ Newel Posts and Caps. Actual Size: 3 1/4″ diameter x 5″ tall.
Adds a dressier, more ornate look to your newels and post caps. These wood ball finals are made out of a single piece of wood – no laminating or finger jointing. Although Cedar decorative ball finials are intended to be used outside on a porch or deck post cap, we’ve seen these used on interior staircases as well.
Wood ball finials can be installed on a cap by screwing from the bottom up. If they are going on a post without a cap, they can be installed with a dowel screw (double ended lag screw). More ball top sizes are available in Polyurethane.
PRIMING OPTION (recommended): Premium primer in flat white available as an option, which allows for immediate installation. Our primer is applied in a light and proper manner. We do not apply our primer too heavy; we apply it correctly. It is normal to see wood grain through the primer after application. If you would like a thicker application, this can be achieved by using additional light coats of your paint. Expect some blemishes in the primer from shipping. This is normal and will not affect the finished result when painted after installation.
